Wellbeing classes
Sound Journey
A Sound Journey (bath) is a deeply restorative experience where soothing sounds and gentle vibrations from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, Native American flutes, harp, handpan, shamanic drums and more, wash over you. Created to support deep rest and relaxation, these therapeutic frequencies help calm the nervous system, rebalance energy and invite a sense of inner peace.
Each session begins with optional ceremonial cacao, followed by a guided body awareness meditation to help you settle in, before being immersed in the sound journey itself.
Every month, the journey is inspired by the current astrological sign, with the elements of Earth, Water, Fire and Air shaping the energy, intention and instruments used. You’ll also receive a specially selected crystal to take home, aligned with the theme of the month.
No experience is needed, and everything is provided for your comfort—including mats, bolsters and blankets. Simply arrive, settle in, and allow the sounds to support you.
Sound Journeys are 90 minutes and are held on either the 3rd or 4th Sunday of each month from 5.15–6.45pm, facilitated by Angela Maree. For upcoming dates, please click the “Book a Class” tab below.
Chi Kung Movement
Chi Kung (Qigong) is an ancient Chinese practice that weaves together gentle movement, breathwork and meditation to cultivate and balance the body’s vital energy—known as qi (chi). It was the foundation of Tai chi and Kung fu.
In these classes, you’ll be guided through slow, flowing movements designed to improve flexibility, coordination and muscle tone, while also supporting mental clarity and emotional wellbeing. By working with the body’s meridian system, Chi Kung encourages healthy energy flow, helping to reduce stress and restore a natural sense of relaxation and vitality.
Angela’s teaching offers an intuitive style with an Aotearoa New Zealand influence, thoughtfully incorporating the spiritual aspects of Chi Kung, body awareness, and the Elemental Directions. Each class explores different elements and meridians, so every session brings a fresh and enriching experience. Time is also set aside at the end of class for a short, guided meditation to help you fully integrate and settle.
Whether you’re looking to build body awareness, enhance your energy, or simply find a moment of calm, Chi Kung provides a gentle and holistic approach to wellbeing. No prior experience is needed—just wear comfortable clothing and come with an open mind and a willingness to enjoy the process.
Monthly Chi Kung classes are held on the second Sunday of each month from 5.15pm–6.30pm, guided by Angela Maree.
Breathwork Mastery (RBM)
Breathwork Mastery (RBM) is a gentle, conscious breathing practice designed to support your body’s natural “rest, relax and digest” state—allowing you to unwind without pushing into stress or overwhelm.
Through slow, relaxed, connected breathing, this practice can help release stored emotions, quiet the mind, and leave you feeling lighter and more at ease. Many experience it as a reset for the nervous system, creating space for clarity, calm and renewed energy.
At the beginning of each class, you’ll be invited to set a personal intention—something you’d like to explore, shift or gain insight into. You’ll then settle in comfortably with mats, blankets and bolsters provided, and be gently guided through a full, connected breathing practice accompanied by a carefully curated music journey.
After the breathing session, there is time to reflect and connect your experience back to your intention, supporting deeper awareness and integration into your daily life.
Classes are facilitated by April Gourdie, a qualified RBM practitioner, who holds a safe and supportive space throughout the experience. Please contact April directly if you would like more information or would like to book a 1:1 Breathwork Mastery session at aprilgourdie@gmail.com
Breathwork Mastery (RBM) classes are held on the first Sunday of each month from 9.15am–11.15am.
