Wellbeing classes
Chi Kung
Chi Kung (Qigong) is an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movement, breathwork, and meditation to cultivate and balance the body's vital energy, known as qi (chi). Designed to improve physical health, mental clarity, and emotional well-being, Chi Kung enhances flexibility, reduces stress, and promotes a deep sense of relaxation and vitality. These classes have a uniquely New Zealand focus and Angela also incorporates the spiritual aspects of Chi kung and the Elemental Directions through her teaching. Whether you’re seeking to improve your energy or find inner peace, Chi Kung offers a holistic approach to wellness for all levels.
Weekly Chi Kung classes are held on Wednesdays 6.15-7.15pm, taught by Angela Maree.
Sound Bath
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where soothing sounds and vibrations from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, Koshi chimes, American flutes and shamanic drums wash over you. Designed to facilitate deep rest and relaxation, the therapeutic vibrations nourish your nervous system, balance energy and promote inner peace. The class starts with Ceremonial Cacao (optional), followed by a gentle body awareness meditation before the sound bath begins. No experience is necessary—just relax and let the healing sounds guide you.
Sound Baths are held on the 4th Sunday of each month at 5.30-6.30pm, hosted by Angela Maree.
Hatha yoga
Hatha yoga is a traditional practice that combines physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to promote balance, flexibility, and inner calm. Designed to align the body, mind, and spirit, Hatha yoga is accessible to all levels and offers a gentle yet powerful way to enhance overall wellbeing and reduce stress.
Weekly Hatha yoga classes will be joining The Cove schedule in Autumn 2025.

“Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit—the realiSation that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of wellbeing.”
